First and foremost, we want to say thank you very much for being a Universal Yarn Customer and growing with
us over the years. With our growth, our policies from time to time need to be updated. One of these policies
is how we handle backorders. We have found it necessary to streamline the procedure so it is more efficient
for you and for us. Effective June 1, 2012 the following backorder policy will be put into place.
Credit Card Customers:
Backorders for out of stock items will remain open for 60 days from the original order entry date
UNLESS YOU CONTACT US to pre-authorize auto shipment of product upon availability. Otherwise, the
backorder will be closed if the product is not available within the 60 days, you will receive notification
of this, and you will need to reorder.
When backorder is ready to ship, you will receive a phone call or an email with a request to approve
shipment. Order will remain open for seven days thereafter. If we receive no response from you, the
backorder will be closed.
No backorder will be shipped without customer approval via email or phone call with our customer
All return to stock items will be subject to a 15% RESTOCKING FEE.
This policy does not apply to pre-orders of new product.
Customers with terms:
All above apply except we will auto ship backorders to you unless you have asked to be contacted for
approval to ship.
